An outbreak of the Novel Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) Caused

ALS is a progressive neuromuscular disorder affecting the nerves supplying our muscles.
Some cases may have a family relative with the same condition, however, most other cases may occur without a family history
Patients will develop difficulty with speaking, swallowing, and movement that get worse over time
About 5 to 10 percent of ALS is familial — meaning it arises in families in which there is a history of ALS
